This Friday, the Château Frontenac in Quebec City will be in Downton Abbey mode, this popular British series set in the 1920s. To celebrate the release of the film, visitors to the Château will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere that characterizes the series so well.
During the day, the frenzy surrounding the release of the film will be at its peak in Old Quebec with a few nods to the atmosphere of the 20s so well in the series and the film to come.
Visitors will first be able to contemplate two cars of the time. They will be installed near the main entrance.
Afterwards, fans of Lady Mary and Lord Grantham can enjoy tea as their heroes and as real aristocrats on the terrace Dufferin.
In addition to sampling the famous English scones topped with Devonshire cream and homemade jam in William Edwards porcelain custom-made for the Chateau, visitors will be able to hear melodies of the time. The musical part will be provided by Mademoiselle Fizz, who promises a nod to jazz from the beginning of the last century.
The Château invites diners to get into the atmosphere of the era by wearing pearls and fancy hairstyles. It will be possible to immortalize the moment by taking the pose on the director's chair. It will be installed in the restaurant throughout the day.
Finally, the hotel will launch a new tea-based cocktail, in honor of the movie and the series. The beverage will be available at the restaurant Le Sam, Bistro Évolutif.
