Tourism Montreal had long wanted to democratize the food cooked here and create a big party around the pleasures of it. This is the best way to discover neighborhood bistros, high-end restaurants and other places most of the time less accessible to the general public.
For the 2013 edition, the Quebec Federation of Maple Syrup Producers issued a challenge to the 125 chefs: Integrating maple to their recipes. Will they be creative? Certainly! Will they use maple other than in desserts? At no doubt!
