In search of a way to help the people of Estrie, the management of Eggsquis restaurants in Sherbrooke did not have to look far. The founder of the channel, Elias Stergiou, who died of cancer three years ago, was their inspiration. It has therefore been decided to support the fight against cancer.
In turn, one week per month until September, the four Eggsquis restaurants will pay a dollar to the Quebec Cancer Foundation for lunch sold. The objective is to exceed the amount of $ 10,000. On average, between 3,000 and 3,500 meals are served in Sherbrooke per week. By promoting the event, the restaurants hope to reach more people, including those following the foundation who might be interested in cracking Eggsquis for the cause.
The event coincides with the 40th anniversary of the foundation. It supports families affected by the disease and provides shelter for them. Last year, more than 3000 nights were managed by the foundation.
The announcement of this partnership was made at the brand new Eggsquis boulevard Bourque, the 42nd restaurant of the chain.
