NO.NO.NO. The restaurant was pretty empty. The service was HORRIBLE! It took an hour, from the time we sat down until our food arrived. I asked to speak to the manager who seemed disinterested in the delay. No apology. No nothing. She said she would check with the kitchen and never returned. There are several good restaurants in Wakefield. Give Earle House a pass.

Cute spot. Service and food not good. Took long to get service. Took long to get coffees. Took long for food. Once food arrived it was disappointing. Understandable that this spot is in a key location and gets busy on a warm day, however they should know their limits and limit tables if they aren’t able to provide good service to those who are seated! Hopefully they can improve!
The worst experience I’ve had in quite some time. Besides the building and patio, it had everything going wrong for itself. It took about 45 minutes to even get water and order a coffee. Thought maybe I should order at the counter and they told us they’d be right by. Only for us to wait another 20 mins. By the time food arrived the potatoes were raw and the muffin for the eggs benny were freezing cold. Definitely not worth the price One of the bathrooms didn’t have toilet paper and it seemed like people were getting stranded in 1 of the 2 stalls. The quickest they showed up to the table was when we asked for the bill.
What a gem of a place. Full of history. The new menu with new service standards take this space to an international Cafe level.
Was looking forward to try this place with beautiful location and interesting menu. Big disappointment. Brunch plates were so so with overcooked eggs, not even toasted toasts, and cold food. Clearly overpriced too for what you get: ~$60 for 2 morning breakfasts (described above) and coffees. Place was also cold especially the washrooms where it was freezing in there. Service friendly but requires a bit more attention to details. Sadly, never going back. Much better options elsewhere in Wakefield and the area.
Staff was polite, food was acceptable but wow!! Service was really unacceptable. Whoever runs this place needs to look at ALL the feedback they are getting to improve. Not just the five stars. Staff needs to be more aware and attentive to the customers.
Place is closed despite what Google say. Very disappointing on a Sunday morning.
Always delicious, staff and owners so warm and providing excellent service & ambiance. BIG portions! Great value too! Eggs Benedict with delicious Hollandaise Sauce, bagel smoked salmon, salmon fillet, great burgers, spicy shrimp curry with rice or chicken fried rice for appetizers homemade always fresh and TASTY spring rolls. They have Duck in Orange sauce and DELICIOUS octopus they serve on weekends. For desert there are always variety of homemade pastries and cakes. Great view on G. river.
