Anyone who has traveled overseas and took lunch at a fancy French restaurant, for example, was probably attracted by the table service. Of course, the dish was delicious, but rather the little touches of the Maître d’ that caught the attention. This is a story that we rarely hear this side of the Atlantic...
There is, however, a young man of Québec City, Maxime Renaud, who dreams of opening a restaurant renowned for its service. A restaurant where you will return for the service! According to him, it just does not exist here.
Maxime was formed by a service expert who taught him how things worked in France, in five-star restaurants. He has participated in several competitions and has recently become the best waiter in Canada... and the second worldwide.
What he saw in Tokyo and Paris surprised him, shocked him, hence the idea to develop a concept where everything revolves around the service. It's not all about having a good chef, you can make it an unforgettable experience if you add an incredible service. The customer is king.
"Madame goes to the bathroom, the Maître d’ gives a rose to the gentleman who gave it to her when she returns." Success.
Where and how have you witnessed this kind of special attention of a waiter at the restaurant?
