The popular fast food restaurant McDonald's on Main Street (Granby) will be demolished and rebuilt. The restaurant will be closed for three months. The investment of two million will be used to upgrade the current building dating from 1974.
The new construction will include a second floor and allow more functionality for employees. There will be a little more than 225 seats in the dining room.
The drive-thru will be improved and the waiting area on the ground will be increased.
Thirty new jobs will be created as a result of this construction, were 120 employees are already working there.
The owner of the place was still hesitating about the future of the amusement park. Will he also razed to make way for a new playground or will be saved? The current place is new and has cost a lot.
The work should link to the fall or spring.
