Listening to their customers and keeping up with the latest trends, Cochon Dingue restaurants are now adding a selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes to their menu. Thus, the five establishments in the chain meet today's demand and allow a greater number of customers to feast at the same time.
The offer is varied and has been worked by the executive chef Jean-François Houde. He has created a total of eight dishes that will appeal to vegetarians, vegans and the more curious from lunch to dinner, including starter and dessert.
These dishes are said to be tasty! For example, there is chia pudding with coconut milk and almond milk, a portobello burger, black beans and avocado puree, a Tofu General Tao, a soy protein spaghetti bolo, a vegan cake with cocoa butter and blueberries and almond milk or foaming soy to accompany cappuccinos and lattes.
In Quebec, restaurants offering a vegan menu are rather rare. Now, the Cochon Dingue, a family restaurant in addition, has taken the plunge and rolls out the red carpet for those customers who refuse to put on his plate eggs, milk, cheese, fish, honey or meat.
