Established for several years just a stone's throw from the Galeries de la Capitale department store, Sésame has firmly established itself in the neighborhood. While several neighboring establishments have changed their vocation or brand, this one has remained faithful to its position. This stability has generated interest.
One Monday evening, when the desire to cook was almost nonexistent, we let ourselves be carried away by a surge of spontaneity: "Let's go to a restaurant!" The excuse was perfect: a car to drop off at the local garage. We headed to Lebourgneuf, which still has some good options, for a quick decision. Several establishments were closed, but Sésame was indeed... open! And to our great surprise, the dining room was packed.

A tasteful atmosphere
From the moment we entered, the charm was felt. The cozy decor is a departure from the clichés often associated with overly colorful Asian restaurants. It features a chic and relaxed atmosphere, a large welcoming bar and various well-appointed spaces that encourage immersion.

Cocktails to Discover
The cocktail menu is extensive and intriguing. The alcoholic slushies tempted me for a moment, but I ultimately opted for a yuzu beer—a blend of Sapporo, ginger syrup, and yuzu. Refreshing and perfectly balanced!

Promising Starters
As soon as I'm seated, I'm seduced by the small steamed baskets adorning the neighboring tables. I opt for the chicken dumplings—a first for me, and a revelation! My companion is taking advantage of the "Meatless Monday" promotion: a vegetarian main course entitles me to a free vegetarian starter. He chooses the Tom Yum tofu soup, fragrant and just the right amount of heat.

Main Courses: A Touch of Boldness
For the main course, my heart was leaning toward the eternal General Tao, but I wanted to be original with the orange-sake version. While the dish was succulent, the subtlety of the sake eluded me. The rice was decent, but the vegetables could have used a little more seasoning.
My companion tried the Pad Sew, a specialty made with rice noodles, tofu, vegetables, eggs, and dark soy sauce. Verdict? A favorite! Flavorful, generous, and perfectly executed.

A feel-good evening
In short, Sésame transformed an ordinary Monday into a pleasant experience. We appreciated the subdued atmosphere, the efficient service, and the initiative of offering themed promotions every evening. A place to remember!
