Vegan menu: now trending

Vegetarianism and vegan are becoming more and more popular around the world and in Quebec in particular. Specialized restaurants have sprung up to fill the appetite of these fans and now large chains and family restaurants are up to date and begin to follow the trend.

If these institutions decided to go ahead with this project, it is because the clientele is more and more numerous to make the request.

Not so long ago, we were talking about showcasing Quebec products, but now meatless foods are becoming a very effective way of attracting customers.

This is the case for Tim Hortons who will be testing a sandwich from the popular Beyond Meat company in the Toronto area. If all is conclusive, we find it in all the restaurants in Canada of the chain.

In Quebec, the giant St-Hubert has challenged its chefs to prepare veggie dishes that could eventually be included in all menus of the chain.

On the menu of Normandin, the veggie burger is already turning heads and is among the best sellers.

Remember that the Cochon Dingue restaurants in Quebec City announced last week the arrival of eight veggie dishes on the summer menu.
