In this new edition of Fast Delivery, we will discover the growth plans of two establishments that are on the rise, Saint-Houblon and Sushi Maniak, and we will briefly discuss composting in restaurants.
First, the Saint-Houblon microbrewery has plans to expand, hoping to open a fourth branch shortly, in addition to making their beers available on specialty grocery shelves. Saint-Houblon currently has three branches in the greater Montreal area, a brewery that supplies its restaurants and will do the same for grocery stores, in addition to a farm that provides all the fruits and vegetables for the recipes on the menu. The new branch should open its doors at Promenades St-Bruno.
Also, the sushi trend is not losing momentum and is starting to push establishments specializing in sushi of all kinds. This is the case of Sushi Maniak which aims to serve the followers of the ketogenic diet in addition to expanding its field of action via delivery to the Uber Eats or Skip. The restaurant offers sushi made from cauliflower rice, making it a perfect keto. Sushi lovers in Quebec will hear more and more about it.
Finally, let's talk about the environment and the restaurant. Quebec cities offer their citizens the collection of recyclable and compostable materials for a long time. But what about shops on their territory, especially restaurants? Cities simply do not support them and the choice of recycling table scraps or not is left to the discretion of the establishments. The recycling of organic materials is not regulated for businesses, they are hesitant to take the lead because of the costs associated with such a practice. This is a file to follow over the next few months because there is pressure on the shoulders of government levels.
