Fast delivery: new innovations and new training

In this edition of Fast Delivery, we will put under the magnifying glass two innovations destined to change the restaurant in their own way and we will highlight the arrival of a new training, also innovative, at ITHQ.
First, the very popular global chain Costco will be opening a version reserved for businesses tomorrow in Saint-Hubert. This tailor-made store for restaurants, convenience stores and professional offices is the first of its kind in Quebec and the second in Canada.
The main objective is to offer high quality items to restaurateurs at very competitive prices. Among other things, they will be able to purchase meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, olive oil in barrels, all the necessary packaging for take-out or delivery orders and even equipment.
Of the 3,200 products offered, more than 2,500 could be of interest to restaurateurs. A delivery service for businesses will also be available.
Then, it is a young Quebec entrepreneur who brings to market an innovative product in order to reduce contact between customers and waitresses. This is an interactive whiteboard embedded in the table that will allow customers to order directly from it, receive their invoice and pay directly without any further intervention. Customers can also recharge their cellphones using wireless technology. The product from the company SeonVision should be ready for the month of December 2020.
Finally, since it is also trendy and this way of eating is still gaining in popularity, the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie de Québec is launching a program devoted 100% to vegan cuisine. Targeting experienced cooks, already holding a diploma or relevant experience, the program will help them to better find vegan products and understand their potential uses, to design and adapt recipes using vegetable proteins and various substitutes. by discovering their nutritional aspect.
