Who said that the errors were always bad?

Few people can claim to make no blunder in the kitchen. A little too much salt here, a forgotten ingredient here, too high oven and hop the result can be far from the expected. But sometimes blunders can become surprising discoveries. This is the case of these five foods or foods that are all born by accident.

1 - Tart Tatin
This delicious tart with caramelized reversed apples, classic French cuisine , was invented by accident by the Tatin sisters; Caroline and Stephanie. However, the stories differ ... Some say that the sisters would simply forgot to place the dough in the bottom of the mold and thus would have served returned once they would have spotted the odd. Many claim rather than distraction, the two cooks would put into the oven pie upside down. While others say that the dessert would have burned and that the sisters have suggested keeping the caramelized apples and put dough on top so that the fruit does not calcine. Regardless of the version to which we adhere, Tarte Tatin is the result of an unexpected!

2 - Popsicle
We will not be surprised to learn that this frozen treat was invented by a child, Frank Epperson in 1905. Then 11 years old, the little Frank had inadvertently forgotten his fruit drink outside his house in cold weather. As a stick to stir there was fixed, the boy was then able to enjoy his creation he found exquisite. This however, is only 18 years later it announced its first product called "Epsicle ice pop."

3 - Worcestershire sauce
Although totally unpronounceable, Worcestershire sauce is extremely used in the English kitchen and around the world. This essential ingredient of the famous Bloody Mary or the famous Caesar salad was of course created by mistake. It owes its existence to two English chemists who have concocted a mixture containing molasses, vinegar, anchovies and various spices making all totally infected! The preparation was therefore set aside and forgotten three long years. Having naturally fermented composition would then become much more pleasant on the palate.

4 - The Brownie
It should also be the appearance of this decadent indulgence to clumsiness. Some attribute its invention to a housewife living in Maine who have forgotten to include baking powder in her cake mix. Others argue that a U.S. leader failed to add molten cakes or added too much flour to them while giving the dessert the chocolate we know today.

5 - Roquefort
According to legend, this sheep cheese parsley pasta would be the work of a loving shepherd. Next a woman he coveted, the shepherd would accidentally left bread and sheep cheese in a cave. When there would be returned some time later, he would have discovered his feast covered with mold. There would still tasted and found everything delicious!

The next time you turn the hands-on, do not hesitate to deceive you!
