Villeray is known for its family atmosphere and its neighborhood life. The Tapeo restaurant is in the heart of this life on the lovely Villeray. The owners of this popular tapas bar, Sébastien Muniz and Victor Afonso, want to contribute to the beautification of the neighborhood. It is with pleasure that they have collaborated with rocioarchitercture and the borough of Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension to taste the new public square at the corner of Lajeunesse inaugurated and Villeray streets.

This pilot project was born thanks to Tapeo Fund. Established eleven years in the neighborhood, this nice restaurant to discover the flavors with the seasons. The varied Spanish tapas prepared by Chef Marie-Fleur St. Pierre are exquisite. Tartars, duck breast, meat and cheese, fried squid, chorizo ??... the choice is varied. And every month a new dish is prepared by the chef. The sale of this dish is used to power the Tapeo Fund, which helps beautify the neighborhood. "After more than ten years in Villeray, we wanted to give back to the neighborhood that we received," says Sébastien Muniz, who adds that this is the first time the district is participating in a project with an SME. Perhaps their initiative will encourage other small SMEs to make a difference in their communities.

The embellishment is very fashionable in other cities, including New York and Berlin, Villeray and should not leave his place either. The owners are pleased with the urban environment of the district. "People are walking, and many businesses have developed in the area. There are parks and Jean-Talon market, "says Sébastien Moriz. Since their debut in the world of catering, young entrepreneurs encourage the Jean-Talon market and fresh produce. Tapeo is constantly renewed, in addition to always present the classics. The Tapeo team is a big family and offer a very human and affordable service, giving the opportunity to the largest number to go eat there.

After dinner, a visit to the new public square, with its beautifully painted floor and swing is required. Elsie Lefebvre, Councillor of the City of Montreal's Villeray district, believes that one can live with family in Montreal, and "conceptualizing the street in a different way." Beautifying the corner and making it through safer for residents, this is only done in Villeray Tapeo Fund.
