If you're looking for a dish that is unanimous, the pizza usually comes first. And when there are children involved, we can rarely go wrong. So it was with the idea of ??sharing a pleasant moment with the family that I went with the brats at the Pizza Passion in Beauport.

I had never tried this restaurant that is installed on the rue Seigneuriale, a commercial artery, for many years. The restaurant took the place of the Maxi-Bec fire that had once established its neighborhoods and only the terrace reminds its predecessor. By taking possession of the premises, Pizza Passion made a beautiful transformation, first exterior with a stone facade that has brought the building up to date. The glance is also pleasant inside while we are greeted by a large glazed cellar.

Although the large parking lot was packed on this Friday night, I was surprised, when entering the dining room, to find that the place was very quiet. Unlike the usual family restaurants where the atmosphere is noisy, here everyone was busy at his table in fullness. The dining room is divided into three tight spaces and a few isolated banquettes on the sides also offer a little more privacy. Maybe the layout of the room is for something! We were sitting in the middle room.

The waitress went for a few small touches for the kids: a glass of water with a parasol and a maraschino cherry, coloring and small bags of surprises. Delicacies that allowed us to wait for our two hungry.

I knew what kind of restaurant I was and the menu met my expectations: pizzas with rather classic toppings, spaghetti, lasagna, sandwich clubs, hamburgers, chicken fillets, etc. I was pleasantly surprised by the European Pizza section, which offered some more creative versions, including the Di Capra we enjoyed. Served on a thin crust, the pizza was topped with goat cheese, Italian sausage, dried tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms, brie cheese and fresh basil. The pizza was very good and the crust was very crunchy. On the side of traditional, we opted for the ribs covered with a BBQ sauce, pork, mushrooms, red onions, bacon and cheese. I liked the thick and mellow crust and the well seasoned meat. The red onions, however, lacked cooking and the dried parsley that covered the pizza was superfluous in my opinion.

Dessert is also traditional with chocolate cake, sundaes, ice cream or pie.

Passion Pizza, which has three branches in the Quebec City area, is a great meeting place for parents looking for a kitchen break and crockery!
