Set in a beautiful Victorian house in the equally charming historic Trait-Carré in Charlesbourg, Le Manoir looks great. Manicured, places certainly plume outside as inside. The old wood, the imposing oak staircase and the various lounges take us back to a bygone era the time of a meal. We greatly appreciate this backward done with good taste.

Formerly known as the "Manoir du Spaghetti" Le Manoir managed it a few years ago a tour de force in his image revampant to date. The transformation is successful and the place teemed world on this beautiful spring Saturday evening. The atmosphere is family and children are many tables. Maybe the ice cream bar is for something?

A section for adults also allows couples to eat in a calmer atmosphere. The lounges also add privacy in the evening and in doing so that a distinct experience with each visit.

On the map, Le Manoir has preserved the remains of its ancient soul, pasta and even pasta. But we like that these dishes still haunt the place, because the variety of flavors is very significant. The menu classic intertwine (alfredo, carbonara, primavera, arrabbiata, etc.) and essential (shredded duck, smoked salmon, braised beef, etc.). Pizzas, veal and risotto also have a small place to address all types of fork.

In high season the lobster, it was difficult to resist the special menu. Between guedille, risotto and pasta, my choice is of course stopped on the specialty of the house. So I ordered, almost without hesitation, linguine with lobster consisted of a white wine sauce, leeks and lemon. My dinner companion for his part, opted for the ravioli with grilled mushrooms. First we were pleasantly surprised by the speed at which our food arrived on the table. Incredibly effective! Is the quality would suffer? With so fast, I confess I doubted the freshness of the dish, but my fears were quickly collapsed with the first bite. The dish was steaming and freshly prepared. The flesh of lobster was plentiful and the sauce was creamy wish. Only negative for my taste, leeks could have been cut a little more finely to go with the delicacy of the lobster and lemon discussed the menu was missing in my taste buds. Side ravioli, they were unanimous with their nice pesto sauce with cream and romano. Usually, ravioli disappoint me, because we do not distinguish much the flavor of the stuffing, but here the grilled mushrooms were present in fairly large pieces and stuffing was generous.

In short, I was conquered by the friendly family atmosphere and the charm of the building, comfort food and really reasonable addition.
