Passing through Charlevoix? Write an address to your notebook: the artisanal bakery Pains d'exclamations in La Malbaie!

 

First, the place is charming and already from the outside, it invites to push the door. Inside, it's warm. One feels immediately that the regulars meet there; It jase! Indeed, the long tables of wood invite to the exchange. The place exudes conviviality. You can even see it by the toasters installed in the center of the tables and by the cutlery stowed in the drawers under the table. How to feel differently at home? The concept works! The place is crowded, it rolls! A wall filled with products also gives a comforting soul to places. The countertop with macaroons, chocolates, brioches and other delicacies also calls for gluttony. From the start, the bakery had collected good points just by its appearance.


Then, the charm continued to operate when I read the menu. A big wow! You get off the beaten track and you have sandwiches, salads, quiches and salads. As a tourist, I really felt like I could taste all Charlevoix at one address: the local products are really highlighted!

 

The region is renowned for its cheeses and the bakery makes them a prime place with its variety of grilled-cheese on exclamation housebread. The meal salads are also attractively attractive: marinated oyster mushrooms, goat cheese, smoked salmon ... but it is said that a good bakery is recognized by the quality of its wand. So I wanted to check the whole by jumping with feet together on the Fleurmier-apples sandwich. I made two strokes of a stone by reveling in the specialty of the house (the bread) and the specialty of the region (the cheese), served with a salad. I already licked my chops when I was given my number on a wooden stem.


All that remained was to sit at one of the long tables and wait for service!

 

The plates arrived in front of us shortly afterwards and they immediately put in an appetite. Love was felt automatically in the preparation. Passion is transposed to the plate, the promise of the menu is kept.

 

Until then my expectations were high ... but when I bite into my first bite, I was totally conquered! A crisp and moist wand at the same time, incomparable freshness, a delicious melted cheese, caramelized apples all warm and organic bacon cooked to perfection. Everything was there: sweet, salty, crackling, mellow, what more could you ask for? Nothing! And there was the salad: already coated perfectly with a delicious vinaigrette, with simple but fresh ingredients, an ideal accompaniment!

 

When one enters one, one understands at once the name of the place, for one can not do otherwise than to exclaim before such happiness! Too bad that I live so far, I would very quickly become a faithful of the place.
