There are employers who seek by all means to please their employees and sometimes it is more successful than others. We will, below, give you at least two examples where the generosity of the bosses can greatly please the employees. Also, we give you news of the 737 restaurant-bar in Quebec and McDonald's restaurants.

Let's start with the good news. It seems that it has now become a tradition, Pizza Salvatoré will spoil its employees and local organizations by redistributing all pizza sales from February 7th. The company wants to highlight the exceptional work of their teams and their commitment to supporting the community in which each pizzeria is established. "It is for this reason that we will hold the thank you day during which 50% of pizza sales will be given as bonuses to all team members, and the other 50% will be given in the form of free pizzas to community organizations coming helping those most in need. Each restaurant associate manager will have the freedom to choose an organization in their locality that is close to their heart and for which this pizza donation will have a real impact in their community”, underlines Élisabeth Abbatiello, Vice-President of Communications and Outreach at Pizza Salvatore.

Last year, no less than forty organizations from across Quebec were able to benefit from it.

McDonald's

The McDonald's fast food chain has also decided to invest in its employees by creating a scholarship program to train future farmers in Canada. A total of $80,000 will be distributed in 16 scholarships over the next two years.

Of course, McDonald's couldn't be what it is today without the work of local farmers, ranchers and growers. This is for the company to highlight their collaboration while promoting studies in this field.

Bankruptcy

The famous saga surrounding the 737 restaurant and its concept, located on the site of the Quebec airport, has finally come to an end. And it's not very jojo. Indeed, sheltered from creditors since October, the business finally declared bankruptcy just before Christmas.

The various Quebec media have made the announcement over the past few weeks with some questionable puns in connection with a crashing plane…

Remember that the project had been talked about a lot since its launch (or take-off) due to complaints from the neighborhood due to noise. Despite the adjustments made by the promoters, the complaints did not stop and neither did the fines.

Quickly, workers were called in to empty the premises. The airport now has to figure out what to do with the plane that was the very heart of the concept.
