When you go to the restaurant, the person who accompanies us is sometimes enough to entertain us, but if we like to be distracted otherwise, we combine entertainment and good food! In Quebec, the concept is widespread and several restaurants allow you to eat while attending various shows, often at no extra cost. Why not enjoy the show dinner formula staying in one place?
The Red Curtain
On Cartier Avenue, the Rideau Rouge brings up-and-coming singers, comedians and well-established groups to the stage. Chansonniers, humorists at the beginning of their career, karaoke, there is something to be entertained! Every Tuesday, the restaurant-bar also opens its stage to all by making available to each of the musical instruments. On the food side, we serve pizzas, burgers (including the Vice-hidden stuffed with dark chocolate, hum!), Salmon fillet, pork ribs, turkey drumsticks, beef tataki, etc.
St. Joseph District
In St-Roch, the Saint-Joseph District has something for everyone with its magnificent scenery, its superb stage and its delicious dishes by chef Sébastien Laframboise. The dishes are comforting and showcase the meat, fish and vegetables marinated, smoked and grilled. We also put a lot on plates to share. Fried chicken, risotto, surf & turf, bison rib, there is something to eat! On Tuesdays, the restaurant also invites musicians to go on stage and share the boards with the house band and guest artists.
The circle
Installed also on St. Joseph, the Circle is a fire action. The place is broadcasting musical shows as well as plays and even cinematographic screenings. The improv club also performs there. To fill the belly, it serves ceviche, sweetbreads, sea bass, rabbit leg, eel, quail, etc. A place of choice is reserved for fresh and local products and the chef adjusts to the seasons. If you go out in a group, you can even order a whole pig cooked from the muzzle to the hind legs. You must book 7 days in advance for this feast for 12 people. Since the dining room and the stage are separate spaces, there is a cost for show tickets. The purchase of a ticket entitles you to 20% discount on the menu.
Cécile and Ramone
We are nostalgic of the rock era? It is at Cécile and Ramone's place that you have to go! Rock is in the spotlight: tributes to Styx, Metallica and The Who are among others part of the musical landscape.
Some shows are free while others cost $ 10 and $ 25. On the menu, sandwiches, pasta, pizzas, fish and tartare. Comfortable dishes with a wide range of shuffleboard and large-scale shows, the evening may not be quiet!
The pyre
Le Bûcher restaurant in the Charlesbourg borough definitely has a sense of spectacle. In addition to offering many varied musical concerts and comedy shows, the restaurant continues the entertainment to the table by offering flambé cuisine. Guaranteed emotions! The menu also offers grills, burgers, tapas, seafood, fish and fondue. The shows are free if you take the meal, otherwise some show a cost of entry.
Archibald
The Lac-Beauport microbrewery has grown to small in recent years and is now also established in Ste-Foy, Trois-Rivières and even Montreal Airport (no shows). Good beers, good food and varied concerts: the formula is winning! This is a nice place to discover new bands and sometimes even well-known names with well-stocked programming. Pasta, burgers, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, tartars and more, the menu goes well with the twenty beers brewed house. Friendly and warm wish.
Pub St-Alexandre
The Pub St-Alexandre, the authentic English pub in Quebec City on St-Jean Street, has 50 shows a month. Jazz, blues, folk pop are the musical styles put forward. Regulars will be happy to recognize the same musicians who have their place in regular programming. The beer selection of the pub is amazing. On the plate, we enjoy salads, burgers, pizzas, pasta or grilled and to stay in the English atmosphere, we do not forget the traditional fish & chips.
The Matlcommodes
In Beauport, the microbrewery has a large stage hosting many shows. A dance floor allows you to relax after the meal. Rock or pop, concerts always make you want to get up from the table. If we prefer to eat more in the background, we can still enjoy the broadcast of the show on the screens in the dining room. On the menu, cooking on volcanic stone, burgers, tartares, pasta, etc. A varied offer!
It's up to you now! Other restaurants offer shows in Quebec City or in your area.
