Whether you are a fan of word games or not, from the start you can greet the humor of the owners. Located on Larue Avenue, there was no better name for this small neighborhood restaurant.

Located in a quiet suburb, near a secondary school and family residences, the restaurant Aucoin de Larue is a real institution. Revamped a few years ago, the restaurant has a new interior look that suits him well. Who surprises, even! With its electric fireplace, its decoration with gray and yellow accents, its white stone wall, its glazed cellar and its various wall textures, we are entitled to a little chic side. I have also found very elegant benches and chairs as well as modern lighting. A good point for the warm atmosphere and the neat appearance. Although it is not essential, I always like to find myself in a beautiful place, it gives confidence for the future.

The restaurant certainly has a family vocation, but it can very well receive friends and why not couples for a tête-à-tête. One thing is certain, once we have adopted the place, we are faithful, because decidedly the dining room is full of regulars. Around us, people seem to know each other and the waitresses know the customers well, judging the conversations and the conviviality of the exchanges. The restaurant is well established in the heart of the neighborhood and is a centerpiece of the community, we feel.

Side menu, there is plenty of choice. First, the restaurant is known for its pizzas because it also delivers, but the offer on site is also varied. We go through chicken, ribs, grilled meat, fish, seafood, kebabs, pasta, but also sandwich clubs, burgers and cakes. There is something for every taste and every wallet.

For my part, I let myself be tempted by the plate of large shrimps on rice. I did not regret my choice. The shrimp were very fleshy and had a really good grilling taste. Peppers also passed on the grill accompanied the crustaceans served on a bed of rice. A salad added a little freshness to the dish and I liked that the vinaigrette is served separately. Three Greek style potatoes came to complete the plate. They were succulent, but I would have been happy to find them in larger quantities. The melted butter served to bathe the shrimp is the element that I liked least of the plate. For me, it was "old school", a little creamy dip or herb lemon could have done the job.

At my table, the other guests enjoyed a generous club sandwich, a cheeseburger and a pizza filled to meet their expectations.
