Almost every week, Quebec restaurants are named in different categories among the best restaurants in the country, in North America or even in the world. In recent weeks, a few rankings have also been published, including Canada's 100 Best Restaurants, the DoorDash ranking... and the Michelin ranking which, for the first time, awarded stars to a Canadian restaurant. Here is our summary:

First, the ranking proposed by Canada's 100 Best Restaurants was determined according to the quality of the food offered. Before the pandemic, scores were also given for service, decor, menu, wine list, etc., but the judges did not need to take them into account this year due to health restrictions.

Thus, this top 100 brings together a grand total of 26 Quebec institutions and we find one among the top ten, namely Mon Lapin (Montreal).

The other Quebec restaurants that broke into the top 100 are:

In the top 50, there are a total of seven local restaurants:

Finally, the famous Michelin guide will make its first foray into Canadian territory with the publication of stars for certain restaurants in the Toronto area, scheduled for this fall only. Already, New York, Washington, Chicago and California were entitled to their publication of the Michelin guide in North America.

Michelin guide inspectors have already started visiting, still anonymously, the international restaurants, charming cafes and other high-end culinary experiences in the city that is nicknamed the Queen.
