Looking for a good affordable restaurant to share an evening with friends, we laid our sights on Grigio, pleasantly located in the Complexe Jules-Dallaire in Québec.

With its small jet set aside, the Jules-Dallaire turn gives the impression that all the shops are following suit, though the rest Grigio in simplicity. so it feels at ease immediately. We like the presence of birch trees in the sober decoration where gray dominates. The lighting is low, but intimate. The large seats also enjoyed it, although it was difficult to drag it.

The fact that we can bring our wine is also an element that tipped the balance in our choice of restaurant. It reduces the amount of the invoice is friendly and it's changing Asian restaurants that are generally more likely to afford.

The Grigio was also ideal for a group because everyone is benefiting. Italian cuisine is certainly unifying and the range of dishes is varied. The menu offers the pasta is diverse and abundant. also goes with the Italian classics like veal and we find a bit of fish and seafood. We also enjoyed the table d'hote which leaves great latitude by allowing the customer to select the main course his choice by simply adding $ 10 for entry, dessert and tea or coffee.

As the pasta used to be bourratives, I decided to take it easy with the first service and I opted for a small, lightweight entry to share: bread with garlic gratin. Simple, but it works, the taste is there! The main course, I've been tempted, like two other guests at the table by the linguine Portofino composed of a mixture of scallops, shrimp, sundried tomatoes, spinach, garlic, olive oil and cream. There were a lot of positive in this dish. First, the ratio versus sauce pasta was very well balanced. Pasta does not bathe in the sauce and was present in an amount just pleasant enough given his wealth. The portion was also reasonable, we did not feel overwhelmed as is sometimes the case in certain establishments and could easily eat the whole dish. The rest of the combination worked perfectly and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, thereby demonstrating the mastery of their specialty. My disappointment was at the seafood lacked tone and flavor, they would have benefited from being seized in the pan slightly.

My other minor drawbacks concern the toilets, which like other restaurants in the Complexe Jules-Dallaire, are outside the local and expectation, since we have waited a long time between services. However, we liked having a single waitress of record throughout the evening and it was courteous and professional.

In short, the Grigio is a safe bet for a successful evening with friends, because let's face it: who can resist the pasta?
