Fast delivery: anti-inflation prices, Stadium sale and new products at Ashton

An essential subject these days is of course the increase in prices. But let us introduce you to a restaurant that has chosen to present a menu with anti-inflation prices. Also, we will discuss the sale of the Le Stade restaurant and the new developments announced at Ashton.

First, this restaurant on the South Shore of Montreal reacted to the constant increase in food prices by launching an anti-inflation menu, allowing customers to enjoy dining out without spending a fortune. Mile Public House created this affordable menu in response to the growing difficulty for many people to afford a meal and cocktail that could cost nearly $50. The inflation-busting menu offers a variety of dishes at just $10, providing a delicious, lower-cost option for returning and new customers.

In addition to affordable dishes, the restaurant has added festive cocktails such as “Gingerbread” and “Frostbite” shots to create a festive atmosphere. Mile Public House classics also remain available on the new menu, offering customers a diverse range of options at accessible prices.

Second, Le Stade resto-bar de Chicoutimi was sold to André and Yves Tremblay, two businessmen experienced in restaurants in Saguenay, ending the 42-year reign of Gaby Asselin. The transaction was officially concluded on Wednesday before the notary.

The new owners plan to maintain the continuity of the establishment while gradually adding their own ideas, focusing in particular on the food offering and the development of themed evenings. The Tremblay brothers have 75 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with varied backgrounds in establishments such as the Hôtel Le Montagnais and the Hôtel La Saguenéenne. The former owners, Gaby Asselin and France Deschênes, express their confidence in the new owners and thank the customers and staff for 42 years of wonderful memories.

Finally, Ashton restaurants, under the direction of new entrepreneurs for almost two years, undertook a modernization of their image by presenting a new logo and carrying out a major makeover of the branch on rue du Marais. The co-owners, Émily Adam and Jean-Christophe Lirette, acquired the chain founded by Ashton Leblond in March 2022, expressing their ambition to rejuvenate the clientele, become an employer of choice, and explore international potential.

The new logo aims to be simpler and exportable, with an evolution rather than a revolution in style, while retaining the authenticity of the brand.

Additions to the menu include a new collection of milkshakes and the ability to purchase bags of cheese curds on site, while preserving the classic poutine recipe. The owners also plan to develop the brand's presence outside the Quebec region.
