On the menu today, we are pleased to highlight the opening of two new restaurants, the first in Montreal and the second in Quebec. But we also have to announce the closure of the best restaurant in the world, located in Denmark!
First, a new restaurant has appeared in the Tétreaultville district, a neighborhood in eastern Montreal. Le Bellerive was born from the association between Simon Jodoin-Bouchard, Melina Hamelin and Alexandre Clément Deschênes. The first partner, already owner of the urban canteen Chez Simon, located in the same neighborhood, could not imagine opening another restaurant elsewhere on the Island.
The Bellerive can accommodate up to 35 people. They will be invited to stay longer at the table than in the Canteen, take their time and discuss their consumption. As the opening is scheduled for February only, the official menu is kept secret. However, the dishes will be offered at an affordable price.
So it's a meeting in what Simon Jodoin-Bouchard calls the Eastern bar!
Then, still in the field of novelties, l'Oeufrier will open a second branch in Quebec, more precisely in the borough of Beauport. The first address is located in Neufchâtel. This time, there will be the large dining room which will be open plan with tables and banquettes. A juice bar will also be available.
Before arriving in the nation's capital, L'Oeufrier had already opened at least 40 restaurants. Most are in the greater Montreal area, but it is possible to visit the branches in Bromont, Plessisville or Trois-Rivières.
Finally, the noma restaurant will close its doors at the end of the next year to become a culinary laboratory. This restaurant has received the title of best restaurant several times in addition to being decorated with three Michelin stars.
From 2025, therefore, noma will become a pioneering test kitchen dedicated to the work of food innovation and the development of new flavors, according to what is indicated on the restaurant's website.
You will be able to go to Kyoto from March 15 to May 20 to temporarily discover noma. If not, hurry and see you in Copenhagen!
