Sea Shack au bord du lac
For nearly ten years now, the Sea Shack au bord du lac has been pleasing seafood lovers with a menu exclusively filled with the fresh flavors of the sea and in a most maritime setting.
In addition, you can enjoy a magnificent view and take a walk on the beach. Note that the only places available to eat are on the terrace. There is no dining room.
On the menu, you can devour the finely breaded shrimp (with a creamy coleslaw and a spicy homemade sauce), the Nordic shrimp roll (with sliced ??cucumbers and radishes and a creamy coleslaw), the famous Gaspésie lobster roll (with cucumbers, green onions, celery, avocado sauce, strawberries and a crunchy coleslaw) or the finely seasoned smoked trout sandwich (served on a crispy ciabatta bread and with a creamy coleslaw).
Le Grec
Here is a restaurant for lovers of Greek cuisine. In addition, Le Grec is one of the most famous restaurants in Trois-Rivières. In fact, it has been in operation since 1959 and even sells its delicious vinaigrettes in the best grocery stores in Quebec.
So you have probably heard of Le Grec even without having set foot in this restaurant, probably because you have already seen their Balsamic, Caesar, Italian, Asian, Country Ranch or Original dressings in a supermarket near you.
Now, if you dare to go and pay a visit to this restaurant, expect to live an authentic Greek experience, because everything reminds us of Greece, from the waitresses' costumes, the decor and of course the menu.
The cuisine's specialties include the feta and olive mix, the Spanakopita (a spinach puff pastry served with tzatziki sauce), the moussaka (a layer of eggplant with potatoes, meat sauce, béchamel and served with chef's salad and feta cheese), the souvlaki à la Grec (a pork tenderloin skewer with rice, salad, potatoes of your choice, tzatziki and feta cheese) and of course the Greek salad (with chef's salad, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, artichoke hearts, stuffed vine leaves, spanakopita, tarama, tzatziki, vegetables and pita bread).
Brasserie Dépareillée
Our next suggestion will please gourmets who can't help but accompany their meal with a good local beer. That's good, because the Brasserie Dépareillée offers all that!
You can first choose from quality beers created and brewed on site, according to a contemporary model far from the traditional style.
To eat, it's the Brasserie's food truck that prepares surprises for you. For example, you can try the different smash burgers offered, the smoked meat or pulled pork sandwiches or the beef chili. There is also poutine, whose sauce is obviously made from their beer.
Restaurant de l’Auberge du Lac St-Pierre
If you are staying at the Auberge du Lac St-Pierre, you will be happy to know that you can easily get to the restaurant of chef Alain Penot and his team. You can also make a small detour to the Auberge’s dining room, even if you are not spending the night there... as long as it is from Wednesday to Saturday!
Here, you will find fine and refined cuisine that showcases local products. For example, for cold starters, there is a crème brûlée with Oka cheese or a duo of ducks and, for hot starters, there is Quebec sweetbreads or wild boar from Rieur Sanglier.
For main courses, a duo of trout baked and fried in a crust, the Nagano pork tenderloin or the seared venison steak will introduce you to other local flavours.
A lunch menu is also available every day between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Café La Bezotte
The small town of Yamachiche is home to dozens of red brick houses and, in one of them, there is Café La Bezotte. It offers regional cuisine, a gourmet shop with local products and occasional shows.
As soon as you arrive, you will feel at home when you discover the ornate white cornices, high ceilings and wooden floors. The unique character makes this local business a place where everyone gathers in a family spirit.
On the evening menu, you can have a beer from one of the available microbreweries or a bottle of wine. Then, choose between the meal salad, trout chowder, beef meatballs and butter chicken. We suggest you finish it all off with an excellent coffee.
A lunch menu is also available. The team also awaits you for brunch on Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
