The top 50 restaurants in Canada was recently unveiled by vacay.ca, a travel site. The Montreal Joe Beef won the first place in this year edition.
The chefs David McMillan and Frédéric Morin received this honor after a vote from 34 Canadian food experts and a public vote. They outscored a restaurant in Ontario and one in British Columbia, the 2012’s winner.
According to several experts, the "Joe Beef" experience is unique. The food is exceptional; the recipes are surprisingly glorious, gluttonous and eccentric. An excellent rating was also awarded to the servers.
There are also other Montreal institutions in the list, like Les 400 coups (8th), Pastaga (13th) and Toqué (15th).
If you also want to test the Joe Beef experience, note that a reservation there is one of the hardest to get in Québec.
