I have always enjoyed the food pubs. Simple, authentic, living, these are festive places where we share unpretentious dishes but always comforting. In my travels in the UK and Ireland, it was always in a pub that we landed to take the meal and finish the day in style.

So I look forward to trying the Galway few days of St. Patrick to dive back into my memories of travel. After shooting a good twenty minutes in the neighboring streets in search of free parking, we finally win this inviting restaurant of popular Cartier Street. On entering the atmosphere we like: vibrant soundtrack, spaced tables, paneling, worn benches, opulent bar; the place is definitely warm. On Friday evening, the atmosphere is literally at the party, maybe customers, predominantly student, is for something. Talking loud, it's close, but that's what you expect from such a place. Yes, for a moment, you feel in Ireland, in a small pub in Temple Bar in Dublin.

Let it be said, the atmosphere was there, but unfortunately the plate failed to give thanks to the agreeable climate. As a starter, we were treated to a little board containing chicken liver, caramelized onions and a large amount of baguette. A first friendly service, but no more.

As long as to travel to Ireland, as to go to the end: it is the fish and chips we order the main course! I felt a little disappointment in receiving my order, first by the little tempting presentation of the dish, and by the presence of oil still wriggling on the fish. Obviously, when asked such a plate, you have to expect it to fat, of course, but the wise little side I would have liked it a little sponge. On the menu it says that the oil used is trans fat, phew! However, the fish lacked seasoning and the fries were not conquered us. Fortunately, the coleslaw was add some freshness to the whole.

All in all, we got a nice service, but we suffered a little lack of attention; it has not brought us water and we did not come ask if "everything was to our liking."

I do not put a cross on the Galway because the atmosphere was really friendly, would stay again, but more for a drink with friends What share a meal.
