Poutine increasingly popular outside of Quebec!

Poutine increasingly popular outside of Quebec!

The poutine, our famous "comfort food", is increasingly exported and on demand in other provinces, south of the border and even overseas! If it is less rare to order a poutine in Ontario and the Maritimes, it’s gradually implanted in markets like New York and England.

The observation was recently made by Planète Poutine’s co-founder Yves Junior Boissonneault in Radio-Canada "Dans l’oeil du dragon". He stated that poutine restaurants are few in the United States but now doing really well.

A reputed chef of a Californian restaurant has even decided to add this dish to its summer menu.

Another proof of the popularity of the dish invented in Drummondville (or is it Warwick?) is its adoption by some restaurant in London, England. A recent article in The Gazette reported at least three places where poutine is selling more and more.

Thereupon, we should not forget the chains present in Quebec trying to seduce us with any kind of adaptation of the poutine. For example, Pizza Hut has recently created a pizza à la poutine and steak.

Why do you think we find more and more poutine outside of Quebec?
