The Quebec liquor board will finally proceed to some modifications in the law that regulates the beer, wine and spirits in restaurants. The Association des restarateurs du Québec (ARQ) intensely urged the government corporation for years.
Among other things, the ARQ wants customers to obtain permission to leave with the bottle of wine they have not completed during the meal, that the Board clarifies when a customer can order an alcoholic drink without a meal and that the time limit for minors on a terrace is pushed.
Ultimately, restaurateurs would like the laws are modernized, are the current laws of the prehistoric era. The Board will consult with ARQ and other industry members and still has not set a timetable for completing its report and its analysis to the Minister of Public Safety.
