From September 11 to 24, 2019, the third edition of the Pizza Fest of Montreal and Quebec will take place. The promoters are refining the final details of this event dedicated to pizza lovers.
The Pizza Fest is not just another foodie themed week as we find more and more across the province. You can expect more than that.
This is a two-week period that allows gourmets to enjoy pizzas specially prepared by more than 60 restaurants from all over the Island of Montreal and the Greater Quebec City area. These pizzas, you do not find them on the menu of the establishment in normal times. You only have two weeks to taste it and then it will be too late.
For this third edition, restaurateurs are divided into four categories and will try to win your votes by preparing the best pizza, Neo-Napolitan, Al Taglio, Gourmet or delivery. They will have to demonstrate all their know-how and push their creativity to the extreme in order to dazzle your taste buds.
After your tasting, you should visit the official Pizza Fest website to rate your dining experience. A draw of a trip to Italy will be made among all those who have voted and several secondary prizes will be awarded, among other things to enjoy even more pizza!
The restaurant with the most votes will receive the gold medal and will be visited by Luca De Marinis, named the best pizza maker in Margherita at the most recent International Pizza Expo.
It's also possible to get a taste of what some pizza-makers prepare for you by following Pizza Fest's Facebook and Instagram accounts. The complete list of participating restaurants will be unveiled at Pizza Fest on September 1st only.
Last year, San Gennaro had the most votes, ahead of Liolà and Vincent Submarines Montreal North.
