10 terraces to admire the river

With the St. Lawrence River as a backdrop, these ten restaurant terraces from all over the province will charm you, guaranteed! Because in the restaurant atmosphere is as important as the contents of the plate, you will enjoy these spectacular landscapes in honor of our national treasure. About 1,200 kilometers long, the St. Lawrence River is the largest river in the world with a length of 370 km and a width of 48 km. We have something to honor him!

Château Lamontagne (Ste-Anne-des-Monts)
In Gaspésie, take a seat at the charming terrace of Château Lamontagne to have a privileged view of the river. Do not miss the wild boar burger, Riopel cheese and candied onions or enjoy seafood such as grilled scallops, mashed parsnip and cauliflower served with asparagus and white butter grapefruit. Hum!

Auberge de la Pointe (Rivière-du-Loup)
Proposed since 2007, the Café-Bar-Terrasse concept of the Mirador restaurant at the Auberge de la Pointe in Bas-Saint-Laurent is crowded. The latter can accommodate 55 people all enjoying the breathtaking panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River. The sunsets are absolutely remarkable. Appetizers, platters, gourmet sandwiches and a wide variety of martinis, wines by the glass and beer ... we enjoy!

Côté-Est Café-Bistro (Kamouraska)
In the charming town of Kamouraska, one settles on the terrace of Côté-Est Café-Bistro. A breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River awaits you there. To fill the belly, we devour dishes highlighting the products of the region such as guinea fowl, kid, seal or eel. What to think outside the box! The beautiful selection of organic and natural wines also makes you want to bask long, long!

Ras'l Bock, (Saint-Jean-Port-Joli)
In Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, this picturesque coastal village of Chaudière-Appalaches, we must mark a stop at the Ras'l Bock microbrewery. Built on two floors, the remarkable terrace can accommodate fifty guests. It's a good craft beer in hand that you can grab the view of the harbor and the elegant stream. For a snack, nachos, organic sausages, salty cheese and nuts will keep you going.

Le Quai 1635 (Québec)
In Quebec, where the river narrows, several terraces feature the St. Lawrence. Among them, do not miss Le Quai 1635. Located in the Cap-Rouge sector, the restaurant offers a lively terrace, set right on the Jacques-Cartier Beach Park Trail. In case of cool weather, we fall back on the canopy which offers an equally beautiful view of the river. Side food, we do not miss the famous Lobster Roll Quai or the tasty grilled cheese lobster & chorizo. It even serves lunches every Saturday and Sunday.

La Goéliche (Québec)
How to get a better view of the river than to be directly on an island planted between its two banks? For a breathtaking panorama, we move to the terrace of the restaurant La Goéliche. As a bonus, you will be able to observe the impressive cruise ships there. An interior terrace offers an equally splendid view. On the menu, we enjoy the octopus grilled Morocco, homemade boudin or stuffed rabbit saddle. A lunch menu also offers lighter dishes such as a cod fish'n'chip or a duck leg confit.

Poivre Noir (Trois-Rivières)
From the terrace of the famous restaurant Poivre Noir, you will be able to contemplate our majestic river as well as the icon of the city: the bridge Laviolette. Enjoy it with one of the classics of the place, including ice oysters, homemade goat stuffed gnocchi or bison tartare.

La Terrasse aux Confluents (Trois-Rivières)
A magical moment awaits you at Borealis, the museum of the history of the paper industry. The Confluence Terrace offers an exceptional view of the river in a modern setting. It serves specialty coffees, wines and beers as well as tasty sandwiches and fresh salads.

Ô quai des brasseurs (Bécancour)
In Bécancour, the terrace of the microbrewery O Quai des Brasseurs opens the doors of the river. Offering a hundred seats, the huge terrace on the edge of the wharf of Ste-Angèle offers guests a spectacular view of the St. Lawrence. Tapas, pizzas, fish, seafood and almost a dozen beers houses, there is something to salivate!

Quai 99 (Longueuil)
Located on the shores of the St. Lawrence River in Longueuil, at the Réal-Bouvier marina, the terrace of the restaurant Le Quai 99 is absolutely splendid. The party is also on the plate with trays and boards, tasty salads meals, fresh pasta, the essential fish, tartar and mussels, in addition to poultry and meat dishes. Everything to please!
