It was a truly awful experience. Yesterday was Valentine's Day. I happily took my child out for dinner. During the meal, a waiter said our order of congee with preserved egg and lean pork wouldn't be available until after 11:30 PM, so we cancelled it. The final bill was $69.50. When the waiter came to collect the bill, I said I would pay in cash. The waiter said the total, including tip and tax-free, was $84. We had paid whatever they quoted before. This time, because we cancelled one meal, we assumed he had included the congee in the bill. So we checked the amount with him, and he checked it with a checkmark. We eventually discovered he had added a 20%+ tip. He said that's how it always is. I said paying in cash including tip is normal, but adding 20%+ is very unpleasant. I said I needed a proper invoice. The waiter brought an invoice for around $80.50 before tax, an extra $11. I was shocked. I had been showing the waiter the order on my phone, which showed $69.50 before tax after the cancellation. The waiter kept insisting on paying according to the receipt he provided, claiming he had undercharged us earlier. When this didn't work, I said I wanted to see the manager. He said he was the manager. I said I wanted to see the boss. He said the boss wasn't there. I said I was going to call the police. My son didn't want to make a scene during the holiday, so he patiently helped the waiter check the bill. We eventually discovered that the waiter had mistaken a checkmark he made during the initial check (he kept denying he made any) for the delivery person's signature after we ordered. We told him he couldn't just make a checkmark and assume we paid for the meal. The total amount handwritten at the end of the bill was $69.50, so the checkmark was made by him during his initial check. Seeing he couldn't deny it anymore, he issued us the correct receipt without any apology or remorse, ruining our otherwise pleasant meal. So I gave him a 5% tip. The waiter insisted on a minimum 10% tip. I said tipping was voluntary; I usually tip 15%. But your service today didn't make me feel you deserved such a large tip. The waiter said, "Don't come back, we'll blacklist you." I said, "Don't worry. I'll never come again." As I was leaving, my child said, "The waiter took a picture of me." So I called the police. My child encouraged me to post this in this review. It shows that even a very tolerant child can't stand their behavior. I hope more people will see this. 真是非常糟糕的体验。 昨天情人节。我带着孩子高高兴兴去吃饭。期间有服务生说我们订的皮蛋瘦肉粥要11:30后才有。 所以我们就取消了。 最后一共吃了69.5$。 服务生来结账。我说我付现金。服务生说一共包含小费免税84$。之前几次他们说多少钱我们都付了。这次我们因为有一个餐取消。我们以为他把皮蛋瘦肉粥也算进去了。所以就跟他核对金额, 他用打对勾的方式来核对,最终知道他给强加了20%+ 的小费。 他说都是这样的。 我说给你现金包含小费很正常。但是强加20%+的小费就让人很不高兴, 我说那我需要正常的发票。于是服务員拿来的发票金额是80.5左右税前。 被多加了11$。 我看到震惊了。 一直给服务生看我手机上的订单是去掉取消的餐后是69.5$税前。 而且服务员一直说按照他拿来的发票付钱。之前少算我们钱了。见说不通。我说我要见你们经理。他说我就是经理。我说我要见老板。他说老板不在。我说那我报警了。我儿子也不想大过节的把事情闹大。就耐心的带着服务生核对。 最终我们发现是这个服务生在第一次核对时。留下的对勾(他一直否认他打过对勾)以为是我们订餐后送餐员的签字。 就跟他说你不能随便打个对勾就说是我们吃了这个餐让我们付钱吧。而且你单子结尾手写的总金额是69.5$。所以你这个对勾就是你自己核对时打上去的。他看抵赖不了了。就去开了正确的发票给我们。没有任何的道歉或者歉意。破坏了我们原本高高兴兴的用餐。于是我给了5%的小费。那个服务员说必须给最低10%的小费。 我说小费是我自愿的。我一般都给15%的小费。但是你今天的服务让我没有感受到你值得那么多小费。 这个服务生说你以后不要来了,我们会拉黑你。我说放心。我以后再也不会来了。 走时我孩子说。这个服务生对着我拍了照片。于是我报警了。 我家孩子鼓励我把这个事情发到这个评价里面。说明很有包容心的孩子也看不过去他们的做法了。 希望让更多的人看到。
