I was eager to meet the youngest member of Resto Plaisirs Group, Jaja la pizz. Jaja has been born for a few years now, but he has recently renewed himself by offering a brand new concept at his Lebourgneuf branch. It serves Italian-inspired cuisine in Quebec colors while promoting the sharing of dishes.

Upon entering, Jaja makes me feel good. I like the decor, we are greeted by a yellow moped and a warm lounge area with a swing. The restaurant "look", it is modern and the layout to orient the dining room towards the glazed kitchen makes change. I liked to see the cooks in action, it offers a little show for the idle time of the conversation.

Opening the card, I realized that the selection of pizzas was shortened compared to other branches. Italy is in the spotlight and some revamped classics are on the menu.

Hungry, I started for the table d'hôte. The adventure began with a well seasoned leek soup, but nothing extravagant. It was simple and did a good job of warming up. On the main course, I set my heart on the Côte-Nord pizza served in half-portion and accompanied by a Caesar salad. First, the pizza with its cream sauce, shrimp, scallops, red onions and green onions was really tasty. I fell in love with the crust not too crisp, still soft and cheese melted to perfection without being too grilled. The shrimp was delicious, but the scallops a little more bland. Pity. While the green onion was rather discreet, the red onion, it would have needed to be a little more cooked to combine well with the rest of the filling, but all in all, it was an excellent pizza that stands out of those served in rival pizzerias. Three choices of oils were also placed on the table to spice up the pizza as we pleased. The surprise was at the level of the salad Caesar, generally banal, here she deserved a mention of honor. Crunchy lettuce wrapped in an exquisite Caesar sauce was topped with capers, generous Parmesan shavings, real chopped bacon and a special touch of miniature parmesan cheese. A real favorite!

To top it off, the table d'hôte ended with a seasonal cake with chocolate and pumpkin. A nice little sweetness, though slightly a bit too sweet for my taste. A hot drink was also included and you could go for David's Tea.

Very happy to have finally met Jaja, we bet we will meet again.
