Reviews / Ratings for Le Bateau-Mouche au Vieux-Port de Montréal
Not the place I thought, no good heater inside, I was cold all the time. And the food was not the big thing. Normal.
Felix was fantastic, our experience was wonderful and the food was spectacular.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening! The food was top shelf and arrived at the perfect temperature. I had the duck as my main course - one of the best meals I’ve had in a while! Our server, Felix, was personable, friendly, very informative about the whole experience and just a pleasure to deal with. If you’re worried the food is sub-par or the service too slow, don’t be! I was here last year and am dining here again in 3 weeks- this is an absolute Montreal winter experience you must try! 😁
Was a really great experience. Felix was great. I will definitely be doing this again
The location on the water and the snowy ambiance during our dinner was magical! The Felix and Elijah were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu options. The fairy lights, furry blankets, and heaters provided truly made our experience one to remember on a snowy winter night in Québec!
Felix was wonderful!
Amazing experience, views & food were great
Felix was amazing! We had a great time and would definitely recommend.
Good service with Felix. Would recommend to anyone
My boyfriend and I had dinner on the boat last weekend. We both ordered the fillet mignon and had the soup to start. Both steaks were cooked perfectly, and probably one of the best steaks we had both ever eaten. The drinks were amazing. The staff was attentive and polite, and even offered to take photos of us, for us when they saw us trying to take a selfie. It has a really nice atmosphere and I highly recommend checking it out
I didn't expect anything other than a view and probably "ok" and colder food than inside of a restaurant. Well, it was a pleasant surprise. I'm glad I didn't get influenced with some of the negative comments here. You need to acknowledge the physics and logistics and then you can appreciate or do a constructive criticism. Its outside. Its cold between the dome and kitchen. They have some equipment to carry the stuff without losing too much heat etc but the time it takes from the kitchen to your table won't give you a sizzling salmon or steak in your plate, but you won't eat ice cold, no worries. Service speed. They could have different ways to optimize the time for order and delivery, with the distance etc, it should be electronic and what not, some will say, at the same time, you are here to enjoy the view, you rent the space for a few hours and just relax! Yes there's always room for improvement. They might miss some small details like pour you water but you can do it yourself, if you get triggered for things like that, you're missing on the experience. Temperature. We were there at about 0 degree celsius. Heaters inside the dome.did the job. Never got cold. Staff was super nice and friendly. Tip them considering if you would do that kind of work in this temperature and they diserve every dollar even if your beer takes 10 minutes to arrive. Environment/mood. Magical. Silence. Beautiful and more space than anticipated. I loved this. No crying baby or loudmouth next to us, no dramma, just some quality time with my GF as I was looking for something different than the usual restaurant. Would I recommend? Yes. But Calibrate your expectations.and relax. Will I come again? Most probably for a special event. Is it expensive? Well, its not cheap. Its not outrageous considering the setup, electricity (not only 1 fan but several), rental and logistics involved. Thanks guys for a nice evening!
We loved the experience. Food and service were amazing. We lived our server Felix!
Overall, I had an amazing experience. It was new year's eve and they were extremely understaffed. The workers tried their best but I did wait over an hour just for my first drink. The food was decent. Im sure the people in the boat had better service than the people in the domes. I would definitely do it again on a day that isn't so busy.
Super cool experience, Felix was great
The good was great, the atmosphere even better.Isa and Marie-pierre are the greatest servers of all time, bar none. I would take these ladies into war with me.
Oh my good lord !! what a great service guys Felix and Elyjah and Jeremy that was an unique experience 🙏🏻
A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience, the dome dining was an innovative idea. Our servers (Felix, Elyjah, Jeremy) were fantastic and professional, and were very helpful the entire night. A must-visit for everyone looking for a unique high-class experience.
Yes, the view and location were ideal, but the service and the food were lackluster. We spent about $700 CAD to have dinner in one of Le Bateau-Mouche’s lit domes for New Year’s Eve. First, our reservation got pushed back an hour and a half, then we arrived and were told that they may have overbooked the domes and were left standing out on the dock waiting in the cold/snow. Then the meal, for lack of a better term, sucked… we waited over an hour and a half for a bottle of wine. There was one woman who kept coming into the dome talking to herself, failing to acknowledge us and then leaving. We finally, after two hours… ordered the six course meal. The soup arrived cold. The cheese plate arrived then we receive the paired wine after the main course. The steaks arrived at about the three hour mark. Then we were rushed to finish our dessert and handed the check so the next reservation could come in. And, we were never given the sixth course of coffee and tea. We splurged and broke the bank for this. Seriously disappointed.
It was just beautiful. Felix does a great service. Thank you.
My friend and I came to the Dome Dining experience at the Port of Montreal for a lovely dinner. Our server Felix was fantastic, very polite, and accommodating! We had no wait time to be seated. The food came very quickly, with little wait time between courses. The quality and presentation of the food was amazing. We will definitely be returning! We highly recommend anyone else looking for a very unique and picturesque dining experience to make a reservation on your next trip to Montreal!
Very good service from our waiter Felix. Food was fantastic !
Such a great experience!!
Excellent !!!
Unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. First of all, there is no clear signage to reach the location. The access road is extremely dangerous, and there was not even a grain of salt on the path to ensure the safety of guests. Despite having a confirmed table reservation, we were forced to wait in line for about 30 minutes in the cold. To make matters worse, the boat remained docked, and we were charged extra for a “window seat.” If you are going to charge for a view, the boat should be positioned facing the river, not a marina wall. Although the server was pleasant, the service was very slow, and our four-course menu was incomplete—the soup was unavailable, allegedly because we arrived late, even though the delay was due to waiting to be admitted. The space was very cramped. Overall, it was an expensive experience that did not meet expectations.
