Should drive-thru be PROHIBITED?

Should drive-thru be PROHIBITED?

Restaurant owners are always looking for options to stand out from the competition and to satisfy every customer need. There were table services, fast food, takeaway orders, deliveries and auto orders. Now this last point is now singled out for several reasons. We even question his future!

So should driving service be banned? It was Professor Sylvain Charlebois who raised this issue in an open letter sent to the media. Know that there are already some 30 municipalities in the country that prohibit this service and that dozens are currently studying the issue.

Why?

Although the car orders are interesting for people with reduced mobility or seniors, they are also too easy to access and encourage somehow junk food in addition to consumption alone, harmful to health according to several studies , and behind the wheel, which can be dangerous due to lack of attention.

Studies will also soon confirm that car service is polluting.
It should rather get used to a small walk, even for a coffee or a sandwich, even if you think it is a waste of time.

It should be noted that the driving service represents for most restaurateurs about 50% of their turnover.
