Is it the arrival of spring that brings this wind of innovations among the various Quebec chains? Within hours, three restaurants announced the opening of new stores in different regions of Quebec. This is the case for the Normandin, the Shaker and L’Oeufrier.
Initially, the Normandin Group acquired two restaurants in Chicoutimi and Roberval to finally penetrate the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean market. The Group, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, was anxious to be able to land in this region. Physically, the location of the two establishments is optimal and the traffic is already important. These are two places that have been well known for many years. In addition, the employees already in place in the two acquired restaurants will be welcomed with pleasure by Normandin.
The Shaker will also open a new branch located in downtown St-Jérôme in a few weeks. Lovers of cocktails from the region, but also good bistro style food, will be happy to make this new discovery. Since the inauguration of the first Shaker in Quebec in 2015, dozens of new branches have opened since then, all over the province, including a brand new one last summer in Montreal. It is possible to eat tartares and burgers there, but above all to taste more than thirty cocktails, some of which have already won awards.
Finally, the L’Oeufrier lunch-dinner restaurant has a 34th branch, this time in Plessisville, in the Bois-Francs region. It is expected to open by the end of April after an investment of more than $ 500,000. Most of the chain's restaurants can be found in Montreal, Trois-Rivières or Quebec. Did you know that it was the actress Marina Orsini who opened the first L’Oeufrier restaurant in 1995? The goal of the current owner group is to have approximately 40 branches by the end of the year.
