For those who follow the techno news, you probably know that Google is developing a self-driving car. Who is targeted by the project? It’s hard to say for the moment. However, restaurants may be the first to benefit the most from it.

With these self-driving vehicles, Google want to enter the market of private transport and plans to establish a free shuttle service that could directly exploit chefs.

For example, you’re walking downtown, and you receive a "Google Alert" which will offer a 20% discount to the nearest restaurant. If you accept, a Google self-driving car will take you ten minutes later and will take you to the restaurant.

That’s exactly the type of 2.0 advertising that could worry the users, because too intrusive, but would also help restaurants during the quieter days.

Another possibility is of course for the delivery service. After receiving your order online, from restoenligne.com of course, the restaurant will program the car to make it to your home as soon as possible... Except, there is no robot yet to get to your door with your meal.

I bet that Google is secretly working on this project too!
