There were rumors in recent months about the possible sale of restaurant Madrid, located in Drummondville along Highway 20. Famous for its Big Foot and dinosaurs, the restaurant is still owned by Julie Arel and her husband. They had acquired it from Ms. Arel’s father.
A group of Quebec City had taken a definite interest to buy the restaurant, which also contains a hotel, bar and a gas station. Negotiations with businessman in the capital were blocked at the question of the purchase price.
The Madrid is not officially for sale, but if a group comes up with a suitable price, the transaction may well be accepted!
