Is this the beginning of the end for the bucket of chicken? This is what we will know in the coming months if the new concept of KFC restaurant is as popular as anticipated. The chain created in 1930 by the most famous colonels embarked on a new adventure at the beginning of the month by opening one KFC Eleven in the United States.

Open only in Louisville, Kentucky hometown of KFC, this new concept offers customers a totally different avenue than the original... that is to say healthy menu. It is possible to order salads, rice with vegetables and chicken, pizza style bread and dessert.

In addition, the dining room is more modern than what we all know: a counter style "Subway", where it is possible to follow the preparation of meals, televisions for the entertainment of customers and fashionable décor.

The American chain wants to see public reaction to this opening before expansion. If it is positive, other restaurants of its kind should open in 2014.

Do you think KFC should have turn "healthy" several years ago already?
