For this new edition, we offer three quick topics to read: suggestions to celebrate Mother's Day as if you were at a restaurant, the reopening of Subway restaurants and a good action for the guardian angels of the country.
Mothers' Day
It’s this Sunday, May 10, that we’re going to celebrate Mother’s Day in a very special way. No, no restaurant outings are possible this year or even dinner with the extended family.
Unfortunately for restaurateurs, who are doing great business on this special day, they will have to think about ready-to-eat meals, take-out or delivery to get some extra income!
Some chefs are preparing for this day and have already started to accept orders. Contact your favorite restaurant now and find out about their special menu for Sunday.
Subway
Subway restaurants closed their doors to the public when the government announced the closure of dining rooms in Quebec due to the social distancing imposed by the virus. But for the past week or so, a large number of restaurants have reopened. Obviously, it is not possible to eat there. Some driving services are also available.
Despite the restaurant closings, some branches were open and offered a total of two million meals to Food Banks Canada and served sandwiches to hospital staff at the front.
For guardian angels
Speaking of those hospital workers who work tirelessly and who have rightly been called guardian angels, another Canadian movement is underway to offer them a good time.
MD Financial has launched a project so that certain selected restaurants can prepare hot and good quality meals intended for health care workers. For example, in Quebec, the task falls to Tanière3 who offers his meal to the staff of the intensive care unit of the CHUL.
In the creation of the menu, the chefs at Tanière3 thought of including comfort foods that have a reputation for maintaining a good state of mind.
The challenge now will be to prepare it, deliver it to the whole team at break time and make sure that the quality is always there!
