This is a new way to develop tourism in the region. The popular restaurant La Frite Mexicaine in Métabetchouan has indeed give a serious boost to twelve sights of Lac-St-Jean, creating two tables "map".

These tables represent a map of the location of places of interest. In addition, twelve chairs in the colors of these attractions were produced.

As its name suggests, the current setting of La Frite Mexicaine is typically... well, Mexican! However, since they had to add seats, the owner Mario Boily has decided to integrate some more local references to the decor and atmosphere.

He hopes to see many tourists already stopping at the restaurant to make a detour to one of the attractions that brought fame to the region.

The selected sites are the Parc de la Caverne du Trou de la Fée, Centre de villégiature Dam-en-Terre, Parc thématique l'Odyssée des Bâtisseurs, Les voiles Carl Veilleux, Jardin Scullion, Ermitage Saint-Antoine, Val-Jalbert, Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien, Moulin des pionniers, Centre d'histoire et d'archéologie de la Métabetchouane, Centre d'interprétation de l'agriculture et de la ruralité and Cristal du Lac.
