These classics reinvented: poutine, hot dog, hamburger...

The routine is not for everyone. This is true in the office, at home ... and restaurant. We must think outside the box and explore other paths. Several chefs have realized that they want us out of our comfort zone by continually reinventing our classics.

The first example that comes to mind is the foie gras poutine from Pied de Cochon. Closely followed by the reverse poutine from Auguste.

Also, since his visit to the show Dans l’oeil du drago, the popular Planète Poutine continues to be talked about. And not just for fries, gravy and cheese curds but also for original and exclusive poutines.

The recently Burger Week, held in Montreal, Quebec City and other Canadian cities also allowed good numbers of foodies to discover exceptional fillings between two slices of bread.

Finally, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Dans la rue organization, ten of Montreal's top chefs take part in a friendly competition to revamp the famous hot dog. They will turn it into a highly gourmet dish.

We want to know the most eclectic recipes you have tasted in the comments below...
