Soon Made in China chicken on our plates

Just before the Labor Day weekend, the U.S. government announced that it had lifted the ban on the chicken import from China. Any transformation from poultry can then be sold in the United States. Is this practice will cross the Canadian border?

In addition, it will not be required to indicate the country of origin of the chicken nugget, for example. Although there are only four plants currently authorized to export this and have been inspected by the U.S. Department of agriculture, the change raises an outcry among our border neighbors.

The government took this decision despite the recent horror stories of dead pigs launched in the waters of Shanghai, meat rats they went for mutton and poultry with different influenza virus, H1 or H7.

To add a bit of quirkiness to this new rule, only chickens raised in Canada or the United States can be sent to China for processing. The final product will then be returned to the U.S for tasting...
