The evils of alcohol are well known: loss of coordination, lack of balance, poor speech... To this we must now add the loss of objectivity when it’s time to evaluate a visit at the restaurant. Also, customers of restaurants serving alcoholic drinks are among the most loyal. Why?
A recent study by Technomic explains the phenomenon quite simply: These restaurants offer a relaxing mood to clients, by offering them a drink. This little example of hospitality radically changes consumer perception.
In addition, a client drinking while waiting for his table will be much more satisfied with his experience compared to a non-drinking client.
It is a little over 60 % of consumers who ordered a beer, cocktail or wine that gave the "excellent" rating note in the evaluation of the restaurant while 55 % of those who have consumed nothing gave the same note.
The percentage difference between the two groups remains substantially the same when it comes to decide whether to return to the restaurant or not and recommend it to friends or not.
Remember to drink responsibly!
