50 years have marked forever the collective imagination, so we refuse to move on and try to replicate today. Those days are gone, but many restaurateurs are trying to keep it alive.
Why is that time still popular?
We find many restaurants retro across the planet, it is undeniable. The 50s and 60s are well represented in the restoration while other times pass almost unnoticed. Why? Difficult to answer. Maybe because this time comes with no restrictions. The 50s were synonymous with freedom and youth. With dieting and healthy eating, the satisfaction of simple pleasure undoubtedly an interesting attraction among customers.
Inseparable retro restoration
Although they all go their particular key, the restaurants have their retro classics. On the list of indispensable: the milkshake! This drink made with ice cream, fruit, various sweet syrups and milk is a symbol of this type of restoration. In the 50s, the "dinners" were the favorite spots for sipping. The burgers come close behind. They are inevitable in this kind of place! The jukebox typically has a prominent place in the establishment and period music too. Of the 33 towers are often prominently displayed. When we think of retro, we also think of the classic cars and "drive-in". Moreover, the restaurant Ardy & Ed's Drive In Wisconsin still offers the service to cars on roller skates.
Chains and retro
There are not that small "dinner" campaign which in this type of restoration, the big chains have not given up. A & W is the perfect example retaining its retro appearance. Did you know that the chain organizes "Go retro" every summer? This program invites classic car owners to meet while enjoying burgers. The height of retro!
Tim Hortons also in nostalgia. In May 2014, the chain has marked the launch of its 50th anniversary by installing a replica of his first restaurant in 1964 a busy intersection in Toronto.  Uniforms and period revenues were on the menu!


McDonalds has, meanwhile, preserved its restaurant opened in 1953 in Downey, California. This is the oldest McDonald's and staff always wears the uniform of time and these are the original recipes that are served.
