After several weeks of deliberation by a jury of pizza specialists, the verdict has finally fallen. The first edition of Pizza Fest crowned Kesté as the winner of the Montreal region and Nina as the winner of Quebec City.
From September 11 to 17, this big celebration brought together pizza lovers in Montreal, Quebec City and Sherbrooke at the same time. But once the Pizza F is over, it's the real work that has started. It was therefore tireless that the jury went through all the participating pizzerias to select the best pizza in Quebec.
The big winners
The Pizza Fest decided to award a grand prize by region. On the Montreal side, Pizzeria Kesté won the judges. It must be said that their "Pizza fritta classica" is more than original. This is a fried pizza stuffed with ricotta, salami, tomato sauce, parmesan and mozzarella. Hum! Kesté is located on Fairmount Street West in Montreal. A top 5 was determined and it was La Bella Italiana who got the second position followed by Brigade, Pomodoro and Redi Pizza.
In Quebec, it's the special pizza from Nina, a Neapolitan pizza that won the honors. For the occasion, the popular pizzeria on rue Saint-Anselme had concocted the "Carciofo e Prosciutto Cotto" topped with tomatoes, black olives, rosemary ham, parmesan, artichokes and fresh mozzarella.

The restaurateurs and chefs gave so much for the event that the jury wanted to reward them with 10 special mentions.
