Danger in your fridge?

When you play leader one must pay attention to the food we put on the plate, because we could earmark some surprises. In reality, you just learn how to cook the right amount and to avoid danger. Here are 5 foods that you should be extra careful.


Nutmeg
This spice we appreciate in purees, soups or even béchamel can be very dangerous, even fatal if ingested in large quantities due to the toxic substances it contains. Swallowing 5 to 10g of nutmeg can lead to narcosis and 20g can be fatal. Delicious spice, but use sparingly!


peppers
While some are fleeing the burning sensation they provide, others love it. Although cases of poisoning are uncommon, you still have to be careful about the amount of hot peppers that you swallow. This is capsaicin contained in this vegetable that is at fault. In excess, it can be fatal. Attention also to never put your fingers in the face after being cooked!


cherries
Tasty on a sundae or a hot pie, cherry but has a hidden dark side. This is the kernel that needs to pay more attention since it contains hydrogen cyanide. So do not chew the kernels to not let spread this stuff in your mouth.


Fiddleheads
More commonly called "fiddleheads" this vegetable should be primed with care as it contains a natural toxin that can lead to poisoning. For this reason, it should never be eaten raw and cook thoroughly to precise instructions and always discard the cooking water.


The potato
It has happened before you come across a potato wearing a greenish color? This coloration is due to alkaloids, toxic compounds. If one absorbs a large amount, alkaloids can lead to severe intoxication harmful to the central nervous system. Better to remove those parts of our potatoes or simply discard if they are too present in the vegetable.
