Japote, located at 1000 Sherbrooke Street in Montreal, is one of those restaurants that’s a pleasure to visit for several reasons: because it’s run by people who are dedicated to their work, who enjoy what they do, and who always greet you with a warm smile; because, in the end, it’s that little touch—the service—that sticks with you. I’ve been to the city twice and have always stopped by, because the food tastes great, the prices are reasonable, it’s easy to get a table, and the staff is the best. We’re from Spain, and before heading home from our trip, we decided to eat there one last time. We had to tell them how delicious the food was and how pleasant they were—it was something we just had to share, since the good things are worth mentioning; they always make a difference and are much appreciated. If we ever return to Montreal—and anything is possible—we won’t hesitate for a second to go back, because for us, it’s already become a go-to spot in the city. The only thing I wish I’d done was take a photo with them, but maybe next time I’ll get the chance. Don’t change the way you treat your guests—it’s incredible—and thank you for everything.
