I must confess, I confess to having committed the sin of gluttony at the Pub du Parvis, in the Nouvo Saint-Roch in Quebec City. In my defense, even though it faces the St-Roch church, the pub does not hesitate to encourage us to temptation!

Jokes aside, the Pub du Parvis offers a menu that manages to convince almost everyone to put aside their healthy eating regime for a few hours. Entries decadent, bold poutine bar to "pout" beefy burgers and mouthwatering pizzas put us immediately appetite on the face of the card. almost we forget the most reasonable dishes such as tartare, pasta and salads however look as scrumptious.

At the time of order, we start sharing mode to satisfy our culinary curiosity without falling into exaggeration. That is why we opted for "Total", a generous plate consisted of chicken wings, fried calamari, cheese sticks and chili hunter with his homemade tortillas and salsa. A happy mix that has brought joy to our little band.

Among the guilty pleasures comes poutine. Could not miss the Shrimp with Tao. I have absolutely not disappointed as the shrimp tempura and General Tao sauce house mixed with curd cheese and crispy fries was well worth the wrongdoing. I would however have liked to see a bit more shrimp on the plate, since they are quickly vanished with my fork companion. We combined all with a burger Three Gibiers. A wafer deer, wild boar and elk was served in a small rustic bread topped with a delicious chutney of apples, brie cheese and Dijon. The contribution of sweet chutney and savory brie was good swing the whole. The fries, however, was too generous. In sum, thus dividing our dishes we managed to leave the restaurant without too feel the effects of our transgression.

A word about the atmosphere: a very crowded restaurant, friendly and with a predominantly young clientele. A magnificent view of the church square which fails to curb our cravings for gluttony and a nice summer terrace. The total for a successful evening with friends!
