What first attracted me to try La Chapelle Pub & Grill was to go see how the interior was fitted out. I was curious to see what the atmosphere was like an old chapel converted into a restaurant-bar. Should we whisper as is done routinely in a church? Quite the contrary!
Arriving in this beautiful autumn evening, the heart is festive pub. A 5-7 festive full swing on the cozy terrace and the singer cheerfully plays guitar to add a friendly touch to the atmosphere.

A trip inside allows me to confirm what I imagined: the restaurant is splendid. The religious character has been preserved there including stained glass, stone and even pews as a bench. The upper floor also gives the place of theater tunes. So, because it offers regular musical entertainment. The bar also steals the show and imposes new vocation places. So, no, the whispers are not appropriate. The atmosphere is rather the festivities.

How he would have been caught not enjoy this wonderful unusually warm evening, we settled on the friendly terrace. With a view of the park from Montmorency Falls and his mansion, we were not far behind.

Let us open the menu ... the kitchen, ah I almost forget! For although it is very nice, it is not our main source of attention. The map is pretty much what you would expect from a Pub & Grill: burgers, salads, pizza, pasta and of course grills. A table d'hote of the day is also proposed to add variety.

For starters, the stage to share still attract me. They are fun to be enjoyed slowly with a small glass of wine, provided of course that the server will not forget! Never mind, our charcuterie platter, served in a snap, we liked: rillettes, dried sausages, cold meats, terrines, something to celebrate!

Then it was the turn of the duck confit burger to its parade on my plate. Goat cheese, candied cranberries, shredded duck, onions, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes all met between two slices of ciabatta bread. Marriage goat, duck and cranberry formed a perfect union. The intruder's tomato sandwich was however that there was no place, in my opinion. A duck burger, it's elegant, but eat less because the shredded duck falls on the plate with every mouthful. The bread was too crunchy, it was also difficult to cut it. I still devoured to leave only crumbs. Gluttony when you hold us! The fries, served in more than generous portion, however, have not been able to receive the same treatment.

And the service? Attentive, but a bit clumsy. The server did not seem to quite comfortable and made some omissions. But hey, as they say: "Let us forgive those who trespass against us! "
Would not it for the atmosphere and the unusual venue, La Chapelle Pub & Grill is worth the trip.
