If somebody say something bad about this place forget it, it’s amaaaaazing, Gabrielle the manager is seriously one of a kind, the staff is next level and don’t start me on the filet mignon, blink and it already dissapeared. Hana is one of a kind fantastic restaurant from already thought Montreal competition and still deliver every time i go. I’m from the industry and can say I will be back for sur has many time as i can. Thank you for everything. My birthday was something to remember because of you, your time and the chirurgical quality of the service you gave is heart warming thank you.

Best meal we had on our visit to Montreal. Attentive staff who did their jobs like they were a symphony working together. Kind, efficient and unobtrusive. And that was just the service. The omakase experience was the way to go ~prepared meats (prepared by the staff at table) with perfect companion toppings, lovely bites. The seafood soup and the dry aged striploin were stand outs. Dessert was understated but complimented by fresh fruit. Loved it. Would recommend 10/10!

Ambiance: Loved the decor and overall vibe. The atmosphere was beautiful and trendy. Service: The service was attentive, but the overall experience felt quite cold and impersonal. The waitress who cooked our meat did an amazing job getting the right cuisson. Unfortunately, there were also some major hygiene issues. There was a very long strand of hair in between my guest towel, and even worse, a thick, dark pubic hair on my ice cream. It was also both my wife’s and my birthday, which we had specifically mentioned in our reservation. The staff didn’t acknowledge it at all. When we asked if they did anything special for birthdays, we were told they could only provide a candle. For a restaurant in this price range, that felt pretty underwhelming compared with similar establishments. What was most disappointing, however, was that nothing was done to compensate for the pubic hair found in my dessert. Given the nature of the issue, I expected at least some gesture from the restaurant. Food: The banchan was good, but nothing particularly memorable. The meat, however, was exceptional and absolutely delicious. That alone would make me consider coming back. Overall: 3.5/5 Unfortunately, there’s no 3.5 option, so I’m giving it a 3. The food and ambiance were great, but the hygiene issues and the lack of personalized service from the staff significantly affected the overall experience.

We had a really nice meal. Thank you for the service and the memorable experience. We had the butcher’s selection. You can tell the meat is incredibly well sourced, and tasted amazing. Everything from beginning to end went smoothly. We had a great time and we’ll def be back. Thank you Hanhak and Gabrielle!

Recommended by an Ottawa local friend while visiting from Toronto, and I see why! Unbeatable prices for omakase and such a fun, creative take on Korean BBQ fusion while keeping tradition alive. Love the food and great classy atmosphere. Amazing service and the owner has a great personality! I would go there again when I visit Montreal next time.

Great experience at Hana Steakhouse. The owner personally hosted us, and our waitress, I believe her name was Leila, was fantastic. The tableside cooking made the dinner feel special, and they have a great selection of wine, cocktails, and mocktails. Beautiful ambiance and a great date-night spot. It is definitely on the pricier side, but for a high-end Korean steakhouse, the quality, number of courses, and overall experience make it worth it. Highly recommend.

Overall great vibe and presentation. We've reserved and arrived on time. They made us sit at the bar until our table is ready. This shows that they don't put pressure on customers to finish quickly for the next reservation, which is a nice and relaxing atmosphere. They said sorry multiple times and that our tables are getting cleaned, ready with ETA, etc, never forgetting us and always updating us. Once we got to our table, the waiter serving us took our orders nicely. Later on, he forgot the types of meat cuts before presenting, so he had to ask his colleagues or manager so he doesn't give out any wrong information. I knew what the cuts were, but I had to let the restaurant crew do their job. His colleagues and manager were patient and experienced as he was clearly new and learning. He said the right thing although he was nervous. I lightened up the mood to make him feel at ease by making some dads jokes. The banquettes were comfy, the waiter was grilling and cutting the meats for us while listening awkwardly to our conversation which is okay because we purposely had some NPC conversations. I understand the loud couples around our table sitting with their arms resting on top of the backrest with drinks in their hands, talking and laughing out loud. That's the good-life vibe. This place allows you to do all that so there's none of your friends assigned to grill the meat for you. Pricier on the service because of that, but you get what you pay for and they have delicious sides worth being a "not-so-cheap" Korean BBQ.

Good food. Inattentive service, not rude, but not great for this price point; which seems to be echoed by a few other reviews. We had two different servers. One was ok, and helped near the end, perhaps to make up for the poor experience. Food quality was good but, as other reviews have mentioned, deeply let down by the service.

This place is excellent. We are so lucky to have such an amazing culinary scene in Montreal and Hana now makes us feel closer to another part of the world we've yet to discover. Food was spot on. The seafood and fish appetizers were beautiful and tasty. Sides are perfect and quality of the meat is right up there with the best. Next time we will try the dry aged ribeye. Only small correction to be made on their part was that our server spoke so low we could barely hear her. The rest of the staff were very professional. Absolutely going back

This restaurant is very good. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly. If you're looking for a great Korean beef steak, this is definitely the place to go. It's also a perfect spot for a special occasion.

Food was ok, but the service was really mid. We asked for medium rare, but most of the pieces were overcooked. Our server was also not very attentive, and she would cut the meat into VERY uneven pieces. I'm not sure if this was due to a lack of training or because she was attending to multiple tables at the same time, but either way, it wasn't a great experience. On top of that, we were charged for an extra item that we didn't order, which we only realized after paying. The staff ended up refunding us in cash but kept the full tip without asking. If you decide to go, make sure you check your bill so they don't overcharge you. Overall, really disappointed with Hana and won't be returning.

In Montreal, this place sets itself apart from the other Korean restaurants focusing on grilling meat. It is indeed more expensive but not as much as I was expecting for what you’re getting. The menu seems limited if you’re used to other places, but what they’re offering, they’re doing it well.

We booked this restaurant because it reminded us of a place we loved in Seoul, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The food was amazing, and the service was warm and attentive. The owner was working on the floor, which made the experience feel even more special. When he found out that we had visited Born & Bred in Seoul—the restaurant that inspired him to open Hana in Montreal—he was genuinely so happy. He told us we were the first guests at Hana who had also been to Born & Bred. It was such a lovely and memorable experience. I would definitely recommend Hana to anyone looking for authentic Korean cuisine in Montreal.

Excellent BBQ experience and similar to what I've had overseas where they serve you. Cocktails are phenomenal! The Butcher selection fixed course menu was the perfect amount of food.
